Stephen Jones is widely regarded as one of the most influential milliners of the modern era. Since emerging as a defining figure of London's vibrant fashion scene in the late 1970s, he has redefined contemporary hat design through a distinctive combination of couture craftsmanship, theatrical imagination and technical precision.

After graduating from Central Saint Martins, Jones quickly established himself within London's creative underground scene, first making his mark at the legendary Blitz Club before opening his own millinery salon in Covent Garden in 1980. To this day, Stephen Jones Millinery stands for handcrafted luxury headwear, creating hats that combine traditional craftsmanship with a distinctly modern vision.

For more than four decades, Stephen Jones has collaborated with many of the world's most influential fashion houses, including Comme des Garçons, Christian Dior, Vivienne Westwood and Thom Browne. His creations have established him as one of the defining voices in contemporary millinery.

Stephen Jones' work forms part of the permanent collections of institutions including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Louvre in Paris. In 2024/2025, the Palais Galliera - Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris dedicated a major retrospective to his work.

Today, Stephen Jones Millinery is based in a Georgian townhouse in the heart of London, bringing together the brand's design studio, atelier and boutique under one roof. Alongside bespoke couture creations, Stephen Jones also develops the Miss Jones and JonesBoy collections, making his unique vision of modern millinery accessible to a wider audience. The collection includes handcrafted hats, berets, caps and seasonal headwear.
